Responsibilities

  • Own and set the vision and strategy to scale the Axios Local advertising business
  • Manage and mentor East and West sales leaders
  • Lead, recruit, and inspire a team of exceptional sales and business development talent
  • Support and pitch to senior-level decision makers to close new partners
  • Create, automate, and improve processes that accelerate sales and new business growth
  • Leverage data for portfolio/pricing, rep productivity, territory optimization, and forecasting accuracy
  • Partner closely with editorial, client success, and business development leaders to drive go-to-market strategies
  • Inform product evolution, including newsletter, social, and AxiosLive to drive monetization
  • Support analysis of 34+ markets to drive pricing strategy for inventory
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product to achieve growth goals
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies while maintaining a strong understanding of Axios' competitive landscape
  • Oversee all aspects of daily operations for a team of sellers, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management
