Requirements

Minimum of 5+ years of experience with Virtualization technologies
Experience with VMware Horizon required
Knowledge of Nutanix & Zerto will be an advantage
Experience with Cisco UCS and Dell hardware systems is required, familiarity with Dell PowerStore would be considered a plus
Operating System skills with Windows and Linux preferred
Understanding PowerShell and PowerCLI as well as the ability to create and utilize scripts preferred
Experience with performance monitoring tools – LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, Elastic, etc
Familiarity with Pure and NetApp storage platforms would be considered a plus
Familiarity with Commvault for VM backups would be considered a plus
Azure Cloud Platform and Azure Virtual Desktop knowledge is desired
A college degree or equivalent in Information Systems or related field. Unique education, specialized experience, skills, knowledge, training, or certification may be substituted for education
VMware Certified Professional certification required but VMware Certified Advanced Professional certification is preferred
Managed Services or Consulting experience is a plus
ITILv4 certification encouraged
Eager to learn, customer focused, an effective communicator, self-initiating and can perform most tasks without direct oversight

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert and direct escalation resource dealing with technical events and requests needing additional resources or urgent attention
Daily administration and support of core infrastructure systems
Work with vendors to resolve virtualization and compute issues
Perform root cause analysis for issues / provide workarounds to ensure business continuity
Create and document application & infrastructure requirements by working with those involved in the development of IT enhancements and changes, including Business Systems staff, developers, business stakeholders, and outside consultants as needed
Ensure that clients’ infrastructure is healthy, stable, documented, and configured with accepted technical best practices
Ensure business continuity and security across all systems supporting the company IT operations
Completion of training and certification as assigned to further skills and knowledge
