Requirements

Candidates must reside in the United States and be willing to travel for company retreats. A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required, along with a minimum of 15 years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have nonprofit compliance and reporting experience, experience leading strategic financial operations in a global or multi-entity nonprofit, a CPA, MBA, or relevant advanced degree, and experience presenting to and collaborating with Boards and Finance or Audit Committees. A passion for higher education is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Vice President of Finance & Portfolio Support will serve as a strategic business partner to ensure financial sustainability, operational excellence, and cross-functional alignment of programs and resources. This role leads enterprise functions including Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Procurement, and the Portfolio Management Office, focusing on strategic execution, transparency, and data-informed decision-making. Responsibilities include translating vision into actionable plans, navigating complexity, leading teams through change with empathy, driving transformation efforts, presenting complex financial topics clearly, managing priorities, motivating teams, and demonstrating integrity and sound judgment.
