Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school and be licensed to practice law in good standing. They should have at least 10 years of experience practicing law, primarily in a law firm or corporate setting, with significant expertise in IT/technology and commercial agreements. Familiarity with privacy and data security matters, particularly within the context of IT/technology contracting, is required.
The Vice President – Technology/IT Counsel will provide IT and technology legal advice and counsel across Inspire, leading an existing team to oversee contract negotiations, drafting, and review of complex technology-related agreements. They will analyze legal risks for new and existing technology initiatives, including those related to APIs, POS systems, e-commerce, and data privacy. The role involves counseling cross-functional units, promoting change efforts, managing outside counsel, and providing advice on non-IT business contracts. Additionally, they will offer thought leadership on technological developments, trends, and innovations, and collaborate with other legal verticals and leaders on strategic plans and initiatives.
