Responsibilities

• Lead Contract Negotiations: Serve as the primary legal contact for negotiating contracts, including SaaS agreements, enterprise customer contracts, vendor agreements, and strategic partnerships.
• Draft & Review Agreements: Develop clear, legally sound contracts that align with business goals, risk mitigation strategies, and industry best practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, procurement, finance, and product teams to ensure contract terms align with company objectives.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks in contractual obligations and develop solutions that balance legal compliance with business flexibility.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure agreements comply with data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA), cybersecurity standards, and industry regulations.
• Contract Process Optimization: Help build and refine contract templates, policies, and negotiation playbooks to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Dispute Resolution & Enforcement: Support resolution of contract-related disputes and ensure effective enforcement of contractual obligations.

How You’ll Succeed:

• Proven ability to lead contract negotiations effectively.
• Strong drafting and review skills for commercial agreements.
• Collaborative approach to working with various teams.
• Proactive risk management and compliance practices.

Requirements

• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensure: Licensed to practice law in Colorado.
• Experience: 5-8+ years of legal experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of contract law and data privacy regulations.
• Skills: Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Software: Experience working with CLM software (such as Ironclad) is a strong preference.
