Requirements

  • Deep technical engineering expertise in Central Utilities (Steam, Chilled Water, Tower Water, Compressed Air, Water Pre-Treatment, Boiler Feedwater)
  • Deep technical engineering expertise in Manufacturing Critical Utilities (Purified Water, Glycol, Heat Transfer Fluids)
  • Understanding of all systems under responsibility (GMP and Non-GMP Utilities and ancillary systems) and their applications in pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Knowledge of trending critical process parameters, industry standards, and trends
  • Ability to ensure compliance with external regulations, industry/Lilly standards, and best practices
  • Capability to lead and participate in teams, committees, or groups to achieve departmental, site, and company goals
  • Skills in collaboration, creativity, and resilience for project delivery, startup phases, building organization, systems, processes, and site culture

Responsibilities

  • Manage technical and administrative leadership of utility engineers at the Lebanon Plant API manufacturing site
  • Maintain site’s utilities infrastructure and systems in a state of compliance
  • Ensure infrastructure is fit for use, maintenance and reliability techniques are efficient and effective, and appropriate corrective/improvement actions are taken
  • Build deep technical engineering expertise and capability in specified utility areas during project delivery and startup phases (2025-2027)
  • Take responsibility for all systems under their purview (GMP and Non-GMP Utilities and ancillary systems)
  • Ensure compliance-related activities (deviations, change controls, CAPAs) are resolved and implemented with other teams
  • Align assigned systems and processes with external regulations and industry/Lilly standards/best practices
  • Lead and participate in teams, committees, or groups to achieve goals
  • Lead and manage resources effectively
  • Ensure team is compliant and trained on programs, procedures, policies, and oversee team’s learning plans
  • Lead safety communications with staff and participate in safety audits
  • Lead performance management initiatives
