Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of business on the floor, safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery service standards, equipment operations, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems), tire recalls, product specifications, and seasonality
  • Ability to leverage digital tools, handheld technology, and be an early adopter of new tools for sales, service, and decisions
  • Expertise in tire and battery services to model and train the team
  • Skills in inventory management, auditing, safety, compliance, paperwork, and documentation
  • Capability to operate cash registers and process transactions

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the team within the Tire and Battery Center to deliver on the business plan, communicate goals, set guidelines and expectations, execute company programs, adhere to policies, and advocate for members, associates, and the company
  • Maintain expertise and share knowledge; train the team on daily processes, new products, technologies, and ensure they have necessary resources
  • Leverage digital tools to plan sales, improve service experience, elevate associate engagement, and make immediate business decisions on services, safety, products, and training
  • Drive business results, ensure operational excellence, maintain neat, clean, safe work area; proactively plan, order equipment/tools/supplies with expense control; track returns/special orders; assist in staffing/scheduling; operate cash registers; work hands-on for member service; maintain accurate inventory, audits, safety, compliance; complete paperwork/logs
  • Train and develop the team for effectiveness, monitor e-learnings/trainings, identify potential, provide skill development, encourage career growth, source new talent internally/externally
  • Develop, communicate, and implement processes/practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, partners; analyze information; monitor progress; identify improvements
  • Demonstrate, promote, support compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics/integrity; explain/guide application; implement action plans; use Open Door Policy; assist management with ethical/compliance issues
  • Lead/participate in teams by sharing resources/tools, determining needs/priorities, coordinating/executing assignments, providing feedback/support, ensuring timelines/quality, modeling adaptation to change/challenges
