Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of business on the floor, safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery service standards, equipment operations, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems), tire recalls, product specifications, and seasonality
  • Ability to leverage digital tools, handheld technology, and be an early adopter of new tools for sales, service, and decisions
  • Expertise in training, teaching, and developing team skills, including monitoring e-learnings and identifying talent
  • Proficiency in operational tasks such as inventory management, ordering supplies, staffing, scheduling, cash register operations, transaction processing, and documentation
  • Strong communication skills to set goals, guidelines, expectations, and advocate for members, associates, and company
  • Ability to collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners, analyze information, monitor progress, and address improvements
  • Commitment to compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics, integrity, and using the Open Door Policy

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Tire and Battery Center team to deliver safe, efficient services, execute business plans, and contribute to club success
  • Communicate department goals, set guidelines and expectations, adhere to policies, and advocate for members, associates, and company
  • Maintain and share expertise on tire/battery services, train the team on products, technologies, and processes, and attend training for continuous improvement
  • Leverage digital tools and handheld technology for planning sales, improving service, associate engagement, and real-time decisions on services, safety, and products
  • Drive business results, ensure operational excellence, maintain neat, clean, safe work area, manage expenses, order supplies, track returns/special orders, staff/schedule, operate cash registers, and support hands-on member service
  • Maintain accurate inventory, audit safety/compliance standards, complete paperwork, logs, and documentation
  • Train and develop team for high-quality service, monitor training completion, encourage career growth, and source new talent internally/externally
  • Develop, communicate, and implement processes by collaborating, analyzing data, monitoring results, and identifying improvements
  • Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity; assist in correcting issues
  • Lead/participate in teams by sharing resources, determining needs/priorities, coordinating assignments, providing feedback, ensuring timelines/quality, and adapting to change
  • Embrace differences, create a culture of belonging where associates feel seen, supported, and connected
