Requirements

  • Upholds the Company's Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies and procedures, and providing resolutions
  • Initiates, directs, and participates in community outreach programs, establishes relationships with key community individuals or groups, represents the Company externally, follows media guidelines, and champions company-sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts
  • Drives financial performance by leading the management team in controlling expenses, developing plans to correct deficiencies, overseeing budgets, and analyzing economic trends and community needs for forecasting
  • Models, enforces, and provides direction on proper Customer service approaches and techniques to resolve needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines
  • Directs the management team in facility operations, merchandising, and communicates company direction to management and hourly associates
  • Drives sales through effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, proper signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting, forecasting, and assessing trends and needs
  • Ensures success of the Academy training environment and store standards by meeting Academy Store requirements, creating an engaging environment, integrating Academy associates, advising on training, engaging trainees and customers, acting as operations champion and Academy advocate, and participating in talent and succession planning
  • Drives execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying needs, developing and communicating plans, removing barriers, providing resources, measuring progress, adjusting performance, developing contingency plans, and supporting continuous learning
  • Provides supervision and development by selecting and training associates, mentoring, assigning duties, building team-based environment, setting expectations, conducting evaluations, providing recognition and coaching, and promoting a belonging mindset
  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, and values
