Responsibilities

  • Direct and guide management and hourly associates on customer service approaches by modeling excellence, conducting tours, and resolving issues
  • Drive financial performance by confirming budgeted sales/wages/expenses, assisting store manager in expense control, creating/implementing improvement plans, and forecasting budgets
  • Participate in community outreach, build relationships with key community individuals/groups, represent the company, follow media guidelines, and promote company programs/events/sustainability
  • Direct facility operations by setting service standards, developing merchandise presentation, maintaining inventory/pricing/signage, requesting merchandise, ensuring quality/safety, and overseeing reviews
  • Provide supervision/development for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing performance, delegating objectives, and developing staffing for growth
  • Drive execution of business plans/projects by identifying needs, communicating priorities, removing barriers, providing resources, measuring/adjusting performance, and developing contingency plans
  • Supervise associates by selecting/training/mentoring, building team environments, establishing/evaluating performance, providing recognition/coaching, and promoting belonging
  • Promote company policies/procedures/mission/values/ethics by training others, ensuring compliance, and supporting Open Door Policy
  • Evaluate ongoing effectiveness of plans/programs/initiatives, consult stakeholders, apply improvement suggestions, and participate in community outreach events
