  • Compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive patient care by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, administering immunizations, and administering other Walmart programs
  • Drives sales and profit in Pharmacy and OTC areas through effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, proper signing, instock and inventory levels, budgeting, forecasting sales, developing cross-functional relationships, and assessing economic trends and demographics
  • Models, enforces, and provides direction on proper customer service approaches to resolve customer needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines
  • Oversees implementation of and participates in community outreach programs; encourages Associates to serve as good community members
  • Ensures compliance with Company and legal policies by analyzing reports, implementing loss prevention and safety controls, overseeing safety/operational/quality assurance reviews, developing action plans, and directing Company programs
  • Provides supervision and development for Associates through selecting, training, mentoring, assigning duties, performance feedback, recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset
  • Ensures confidentiality of information, documentation, and records per Company policies and guidelines
  • Manages Pharmacy Operations: conducts Associate meetings to address needs/concerns/issues, aligns operations with Company/regulatory standards, ensures adherence to policies for products/insurance/licensure, documents and shares changes in products/procedures/ideas
  • Oversees Inventory Flow: monitors process to identify merchandise needs, ensures proper execution, monitors/evaluates facility for inventory problems
  • Manages Finances: interprets/analyzes/explains financial data, manages budgets to align with business needs, ensures proper accounting/reporting, complies with financial policies, compiles/evaluates data, monitors trends for opportunities
  • Creates a culture of patient care, safety, and accuracy; communicates expectations, holds others accountable for SOPs and quality/safety goals; ensures counseling/information on new therapy/items as required; analyzes/improves team knowledge on patient safety/risk reduction; promotes reporting
