Requirements

Proven track record of profitability with the petroleum industry
Experienced trader
Strong work ethic and leadership skills
Understanding of basis of trading, locational and structural arbitrage
Knowledge of rail logistics and current government policies related to biodiesel
Established trading contacts within the petroleum markets
Proven track record of trading with principals and brokers
Strong organizational skills – ability to manage multiple work efforts simultaneously
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Willingness and desire to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
Previous trading experience in petroleum derivatives, swaps, futures, and physical products required

Responsibilities

Grow a profitable trading business for Global in Biodiesel
Conduct commercial analysis for new trading/supply assets, including new businesses and M&A opportunities
Daily ownership and profitability of the Biodiesel and renewable diesel book of business, including responsibility to procure the most cost-effective product for marketing
Meet all the requirements of Global’s risk policy, including hedging all products
Represent and lead Supply on various projects and opportunities
Prepare and present management reports as needed
Work with Risk Management to improve reports and overall effectiveness
