The Therapy Specialist will provide clinical, educational, and technical support to Healthcare Professionals for Baxter's range of Med/Surg/ICU products. The primary focus is on coordinating and delivering clinical and educational support, along with product knowledge, for beds, surfaces, safe patient handling equipment, and low acuity vitals. This role serves as a key clinical contact in nominated accounts to support Baxter's commercial and sales objectives, and contributes to UK-wide educational support and strategies. A strong understanding of assigned therapies and protocols, such as pressure injury prevention, falls, and early mobility, is essential to support medical professionals in improving patient outcomes with Baxter solutions. This field-based role may require extensive travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary clinical resource for account managers, identifying and nurturing relationships with key clinicians and potential product advocates (e.g., Tissue Viability Nurses, falls leads, Mobilisation/Moving and Handling teams).
  • Identify and develop key opinion leaders and rising stars to build a network for evidence generation, quality improvement programs, case studies, endorsements, and clinical papers.
  • Provide in-field and remote clinical and technical support to multi-disciplinary teams as a subject matter expert, ensuring correct use and application of Baxter's products and solutions to improve patient safety, efficiency, and outcomes.
  • Attend pre-planned training days to deliver comprehensive in-service training on Baxter products and solutions, both pre- and post-sale.
  • Maintain accurate training records for key personnel regarding procedural device operation.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer workflows and specialities through meetings, conferences, exhibitions, and discussions with account managers, identifying key decision-makers and stakeholders to facilitate future sales opportunities.
  • Respond to complex customer needs and proactively resolve issues regarding products and services by developing creative solutions or collaborating with Baxter teams (sales, marketing, clinical, research, technical support).
  • Attend regular meetings with account managers to plan and execute business and account plans.
  • Contribute to Baxter's marketing projects by staying updated on the latest clinical evidence and competitor markets.
  • Record accurate customer information and activities in the Company’s CRM system.
