Position Overview

Abbott's Neuromodulation business offers implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to assist individuals suffering from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies provide interventional pain management solutions across the pain continuum.

The Area Sales Trainer for Abbott Neuromodulation is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs, education, and tools to support U.S. Customer Service, U.S. Field Personnel, and customers. This role ensures trainees receive clear and concise information regarding processes, procedures, policies, and customer experience excellence, while maintaining compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and Procedures.

What You’ll Work On

As a member of the Global Sales Training Team, you will:

  • Implement training curriculums by assessing and analyzing new hires' strengths and weaknesses in clinical, procedural, and business acumen, as well as their understanding of treatment algorithms in the chronic pain management industry.
  • Stay informed about changes impacting training requirements and needs by actively seeking information that may affect processes, policies for Customer Service and Field Personnel, and ultimately, the customer.
  • Monitor trends and advancements in business training methodologies and implement necessary changes/improvements to training protocols and materials.
  • Collaborate with the Global Sales Training team to develop the approach, scope, and methodology of training materials to maximize impact and minimize training time, considering factors like target audience, time, and location.
  • Coordinate training activities, including making logistical arrangements for necessary resources and tools.
  • Deliver training as required to meet customer needs, commercial and marketing strategies, product knowledge requirements, regulatory compliance, and Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and update training requirements and records to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Management team to ensure post-training results meet organizational targets and expectations by collecting and analyzing post-training data and implementing remedial training activities as needed.
  • Participate in employee development initiatives.
