Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, medical, life sciences, healthcare, pharmacy, or information technology
  • 1–5 years of relevant experience in a similar sales role with a proven track record
  • Experience in healthcare IT project management or post-sales support is preferred
  • Strong understanding of hospital and outpatient care IT environments
  • Proficiency in smartphone operating systems (iOS, Android) and software deployment
  • Excellent communication, consulting, and relationship-building skills
  • Fluent in Finnish and English, both spoken and written; Swedish is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex customer needs
  • High level of personal drive, accountability, and self-motivation
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Abbott’s diabetes care products and digital health solutions to healthcare professionals and institutions across the assigned regions
  • Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets, market share goals, and customer engagement objectives
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, nurses, hospital IT staff, clinic managers, and procurement teams
  • Understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions that improve patient outcomes
  • Advocate for Abbott’s software and digital health solutions in hospitals, clinics, and outpatient care settings
  • Support installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of software solutions in collaboration with healthcare IT departments
  • Deliver structured product and software training to internal teams and external healthcare professionals
  • Develop and implement territory-specific sales and project plans aligned with national strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, medical affairs, and technical support to ensure seamless execution
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions
  • Ensure all activities comply with Abbott’s quality systems, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain a patient-centric approach in all interactions, ensuring that commercial interests never compromise patient well-being
  • Actively participate in national sales meetings, training sessions, and best practice sharing forums
  • Contribute to a high-performing team culture by supporting colleagues and sharing insights
  • Travel extensively across the assigned regions
