Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Regular short-distance travel to visit client sites
  • Completion of mandatory drug screening
  • Excellent prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Incentive-driven sales approach
  • Professional demeanor and impeccable integrity
  • High sense of urgency and innate sales talent
  • Enjoyment of cold-calling and speaking with people face to face
  • Knowledge of Restaurant and/or Retail industry (a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting for new clients
  • Running Heartland Point of Sale presentations (in person and over the phone) to small and mid-sized merchants, restaurateurs, and businesses
  • Closing deals within a fast sales cycle
  • Explaining the value proposition and demonstrating the cloud-based Point of Sale solution
  • Upselling current clients on other Heartland products and services
  • Maintaining regular communication with the Point of Sale District Manager
  • Working closely with the local District Manager to set appointments
  • Uncovering client needs during appointments
  • Maintaining existing/prospective client records in the CRM system (Atlas)
  • Achieving minimum production requirements, including setting first-time appointments
  • Continuously building knowledge of the product/service portfolio and the financial technology industry
  • Attending weekly team meetings and weekly one-on-one meetings with the leader
  • Performing other assigned duties as needed
