Requirements

  • English Fluency: Required (Resume must be submitted in English)
  • Knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing and Genotyping: Foundation of the position.
  • 3+ Years of Life Science Capital Sales Experience: Required
  • Experience in a Capital Sales Strategic Selling Environment: Preferred
  • Demonstrated Track Record in Lead Generation and Prospecting: Preferred
  • Adaptability and Independence: Highly Desired
  • Strong Desire to Win Business and Establish Long-Term Customer Relationships: Preferred
  • Previous Demonstrated Success with Complex Sales and within a Multi-Layered Environment: Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop a Territory and Account-Specific Sales Plan: Create and implement a plan to meet sales objectives.
  • Execute Sales Plan: Carry out the sales plan to achieve assigned quotas.
  • Utilize and Maintain CRM Database: Manage and update customer information in the CRM system.
  • Deliver Technical/Scientific Seminars and Presentations: Conduct seminars and presentations on Illumina products and their capabilities.
  • Demonstrate Product Portfolio and Provide Consultation: Explain the value of Illumina’s products and offer expert advice to customers.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with other teams within the company to meet customer needs.
  • Navigate Complex Sales Process: Manage multi-tiered sales processes for capital equipment, consumables, and services.
  • Prospect and Generate New Customer Leads: Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Manage Existing Customer Base: Maintain and expand relationships with current customers.
  • Accurate Forecasting and Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate sales forecasts and manage the sales pipeline.
  • Understand Clinical and Research Applied Genetics and Genomics: Possess a strong understanding of the field.
