Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration or related fields
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Technical Sales/ Business Development role
  • Power tools or relevant industry experience is preferred
  • Proven ability to understand complex technical products and explain them in simple, clear terms
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize analysis and draw actionable conclusions
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse functions
  • High proficiency in MS Office and PowerBI
  • Valid Class 3 driving license
  • Passionate about products, applications, and technology
  • End-user centric with a focus on leveraging consumer insights for product innovation
  • Hands-on personality with a proactive, can-do attitude

Responsibilities

  • Identify customer needs and propose relevant solutions using our products
  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions to address customer queries
  • Act as a trusted consultant to build long-term customer relationships
  • Build relationships with key channel partners and end-users to gather market insights and incorporate their feedback into marketing strategies and product development
  • Provide technical expertise and collaborate with the sales team to prepare proposals and close sales
  • Collaborate with the local sales team, Asia Product Management, and Asia Marketing teams to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Develop new channel partners in potential growth verticals such as Automotive, Aerospace MRO, Construction, and Oil & Gas
  • Collaborate with the Asia Training Manager to train customers and partners on product usage, benefits, and applications
  • Partner with Asia Marketing to develop content for marketing collaterals
  • Provide customer feedback to the Product Development team and help identify growth opportunities
  • Maintain records of customer interactions, sales activities, and progress reports
  • Review demand forecasts with the Demand Planner and sales team to ensure the supply chain provides sufficient stock to meet customer demand
  • Engage with end-users by providing technical support through on-site demonstrations, roadshows, and industry events
