Position Overview

BlueCat is a key player in the rapidly growing space of Intelligent Network Operations. We are seeking a Technical Partner Manager (TPM) to drive increased market share by enhancing channel partner enablement, growing channel revenue, acquiring new logos, and shortening sales cycles. The TPM role is a three-pillar position encompassing channel technical presales, channel account management, and direct sales cycle support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical pre-sales support and enablement to a diverse partner and channel ecosystem.
  • Consult on solution architecture within the context of client network infrastructure and business goals.
  • Deliver on-site and web-based presentations to broad audiences.
  • Actively participate in trade shows, seminars, and speaking engagements.
  • Help identify new business opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to Product Management and Engineering on product functionality and future enhancements.
  • Focus on net new business generated by the Channel and expand the Partner network.
  • Develop strong relationships and be viewed as a “trusted advisor” with BlueCat partners, growing the partner relationship.
  • Educate partners on best practices to support their client base successfully and reflect the BlueCat brand as a market leader.
  • Ensure alignment of strategy with BlueCat Partner teams, understanding their coverage models, strategies, and focus areas (target accounts, verticals, geography, market coverage).
  • Regularly provide insight on partners’ needs to internal teams, representing their views, requirements, and experiences throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Experience and familiarity providing technical support and enablement to resell and MSP partners in North America.
  • Strong network system administration experience.
  • Very familiar with IP protocol, DNS, ISC BIND, MS DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience designing solution architectures for enterprise software, networking, virtualization, or systems integration companies.
  • Experience with routing, switching, and LAN/WAN design.
  • Experience in Cloud technologies.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Capability for advanced solution engineering.
  • Familiarity with the channel sales model.
  • Elevated sales acumen.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Understanding of the intricacies of a complex sales cycle for clients and partners is essential.
