Candidates must possess a strong technical background with at least 4 years of hands-on software development experience, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in project/delivery management for software products. They should have overseen at least one major software project from concept to delivery, demonstrating the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects to satisfy both business and engineering objectives. Outstanding communication and documentation skills are essential, including the ability to understand technical and business terminology and concepts, and effectively communicate across domains. Self-motivation, independent work habits, strong problem-solving skills, and the willingness to work with external teams are also required. A B.S. degree in Computer Science or a related field is desired.
As a Technical Delivery Manager, you will oversee the progress of multiple software projects, working with product managers, engineering managers, and other stakeholders to develop and maintain project milestones and schedules, ensuring they stay within scope and are delivered on time. You will manage outsourced engineering teams, monitoring their progress and ensuring adherence to statements of work and quality standards. You will proactively assess and manage project risks, devising creative solutions to potential issues, and regularly communicate project status to senior management and stakeholders. Furthermore, you will play a hands-on role in delivering software releases to Wordly’s production environment, preparing and facilitating releases to users on a regular cadence.
