Alarm.com, a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial technology company, is seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join our talented international team based in northern Europe. Based in either the UK or The Netherlands, the successful candidate will be our market expert in the region and support pre-sales engineering, in-country launch planning and ongoing key account management and development. A TAM has two main areas of focus:

  • Driving the Technical Onboarding process to make sure that new partners have all the training and tools to succeed from the start
  • Managing a subset of Alarm.com’s key international partners to ensure they efficiently utilize the full suite of Alarm.com services.

This includes everything from backend integrations to customer support tools to end-user features and functionality. We’re searching for high-powered talent with a passion for technology, a consultative and entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to drive and manage relationships internally across departments and externally with our partners.

Responsibilities

  • Managing technical sales relationships with select partners in the region, alongside Account Executives.
  • Acting as the escalation point for technical issues.
  • Providing valuable ongoing product support and training to partners on-site and via webinar.
  • Championing and advocating for development requirements by gathering feedback from partners and other key stakeholders on how we can improve our product and processes.
  • Representing Alarm.com at various trade shows and events.
  • Demonstrating in-depth and current understanding of all existing and new Alarm.com product release features to properly respond to partner inquiries.
  • Supporting the Sales Team during some stages of the pre-sales process.
  • Creating appropriate training materials including presentations, technical guides, and videos to facilitate the ongoing training process for partners.
  • Conducting local and remote tests for new features in close cooperation with Product Managers and Quality Engineers.

Requirements

  • Education: Degree level (or equivalent) qualification in Engineering, IT, Math, or sciences preferred.
  • Language: Fluency in English language is essential, plus one other European languages is preferred.
  • Communication: The ability to communicate in English with vendors and internal teams, both in writing and verbally, in a clear, professional manner.
  • Self-Starter: A self-starter who can operate independently.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency and up-to-date knowledge of consumer, cloud, and IoT technology.
  • People Skills: Strong people skills; natural customer service orientation and disposition. Candidate must enjoy working with clients and supporting internal customers in the organization.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Time Management: The ability and commitment to meet deadlines, even during high-volume periods.
  • Attitude: Flexible and positive attitude that fosters team spirit.
  • Travel: Availability to travel up to 50% within the region.
