Experience in developing strategic alliances and preferred vendor relationships is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Translations Team Lead is responsible for managing all translation projects and related requests, including developing best practices, training, supervising, managing capacity, and developing assigned team members. They will manage project stakeholders' expectations, serve as a liaison and oversight for translation providers, and directly support clients. Responsibilities include managing the screenshot development and proofing process, communicating issues to development and SQE teams, and owning all tasks related to translations work for assigned studies. The Team Lead will manage client-facing meetings and emails, communicate with clients, CROs, and vendors regarding timelines and scope changes, and provide direct support to Project Managers and Relationship Managers. They will set up projects with translation providers, provide risk mitigation planning, and offer SME advice on linguistic validation and EC submission strategies. The role involves managing and troubleshooting technical issues impacting translations, training vendors on technical files, and assisting with the training and onboarding of new team members. Responsibilities also include assisting sales teams with translations and linguistic validation proposals, participating in business development initiatives, coaching the team in customer support, managing vendors closely, and developing strategic alliances with copyright holders. The Team Lead will manage translation vendor project deliverables and timelines, facilitate regular check-ins and performance conversations with vendors, and oversee the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
