Position Overview

Summary: The Team Lead, Country Finance Manager will oversee the financial activities of multiple Deel entities within NAM and ensure efficient management of financial performance. This includes driving financial strategy, managing accounting and financial reporting processes, optimising cash flow, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Financial Management & Reporting:

• Ensure reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, including intercompany, banking, customers, vendors, and accruals are completed.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards.
• Ensure financial performance is analyzed and variances explained, including revenue, expenses, and profitability, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Review variance reports and oversee key financial metrics to track business performance.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Review ledger entries for payroll, tax benefits, and contributions, as well as reporting for regulatory bodies such as social security tax authorities, insurance, pension companies, and others.
• Ensure the company’s financial activities comply with local laws, regulations, and international financial standards.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Audit:

• Oversee regional audits, while serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors in countries of direct management.
• Ensure timely resolution of audit requests and implementation of recommendations.

Cash Flow Management:

• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity for day-to-day operations.
• Oversee working capital and ensure that financial resources are allocated efficiently.
