Requirements

  • At least 9 years of experience in Network Administration along with automation and system administration skills
  • Good understanding of automation background
  • Must have any Cisco certification, preferred CCNA
  • Very organized and detail oriented, with high degree of accuracy and follow-up
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to learn new technologies
  • Strong understanding of network concepts, TCP/IP stack and common Internet protocols
  • Ability to work in collaborative high pressure environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT related field or equivalent qualification

Responsibilities

  • Initial Response and troubleshooting of HP Open View and other monitoring tool alarms
  • Work on various first level projects and tasks as required
  • Work closely with all Operations and Engineering teams to make sure that all network systems are available and working properly
  • Apply standardized LAN device configurations
  • Establish knowledge base, document standard config templates and standard operating procedures
  • Capturing and analyzing network sniffer data
  • Certifying new network gear is properly monitored through failure testing
  • Interfacing and providing feedback to network monitoring tools group
  • Maintain required spare hardware inventory at proper code revision levels in burn-in
  • Open hardware and software cases with network vendors (Cisco)
