Requirements

Candidates must be U.S. citizens and possess 3-5 years of experience in System/Network Administration, including 3-5 years of experience with secure network configuration and segmentation. They should have proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and Microsoft 365 environments, along with familiarity with SIEM tools, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanning platforms. Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CCNA, Network + or CMMC-CA/CP are required, and working knowledge of CMMC/NIST-800-171 and DISA STIGS is desired.

Responsibilities

The System Administrator will administer and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux), including system updates, patching, and performance tuning. They will deploy, configure, and manage network infrastructure such as firewalls, switches, routers, and VPN solutions to support a secure enterprise environment. The role involves implementing and maintaining security controls and policies in line with CMMC Level 2 or higher, performing regular system and network vulnerability scans, remediation, and documentation, managing directory services (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP) and multi-factor authentication solutions, assisting with incident response, forensic analysis, and recovery procedures as needed, and providing Tier 2/3 support and assisting with cybersecurity audits and assessments. Additionally, the System Administrator will create and maintain detailed technical documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
