Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying Technology or related field preferred
  • Five (5)+ years’ experience in surveying field
  • Ability to understand and clearly communicate project requirements
  • Experience using and operating survey equipment including Conventional Total Stations, Auto Level, and other relevant tools
  • Ability to perform basic record research
  • Ability to work in various terrain, climates, and weather conditions
  • Willingness to travel to field sites locally and out of the area

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and direct a survey crew
  • Develop and execute a plan to complete surveying projects on time and within budget
  • Ensure field conditions are clearly documented through notes, sketches, photographs, and daily logs
  • Ensure regular maintenance and calibration of all surveying equipment
  • Perform job duties in various terrain, climates, and weather conditions
  • Travel to field sites locally and out of the area
  • Oversee daily field activities associated with boundary, ALTA, topographic, existing conditions, right-of way, transmission line, transportation, and construction surveys
