Requirements

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying Technology or related field preferred
Five (5)+ years’ experience in surveying field
Ability to understand and clearly communicate project requirements
Experience using and operating survey equipment including Conventional Total Stations, Auto Level, and other relevant tools
Ability to perform basic record research
Ability to work in various terrain, climates, and weather conditions
Willingness to travel to field sites locally and out of the area

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and direct a survey crew
Develop and execute a plan to complete surveying projects on time and within budget
Ensure field conditions are clearly documented through notes, sketches, photographs, and daily logs
Ensure regular maintenance and calibration of all surveying equipment
Perform job duties in various terrain, climates, and weather conditions
Travel to field sites locally and out of the area
Oversee daily field activities associated with boundary, ALTA, topographic, existing conditions, right-of way, transmission line, transportation, and construction surveys
