Requirements

  • Currently pursuing M.S. or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Math, Physics, Economics, Statistics, or other quantitative fields with expected graduation between Dec 2026 - 2027
  • Strong understanding of the mathematical foundations of machine learning, statistics, probability, and optimization
  • Proficiency in Python and common Data Science libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, NumPy, PyTorch, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience wrangling data in a modern data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Clickhouse)
  • Practical experience curating datasets and building/evaluating ML models
  • Interest or experience with AI, particularly integrating cutting-edge LLMs and agents into applied solutions
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences and build compelling narratives with data
  • Bias for action and comfort taking initiative

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end ML model lifecycle, including data exploration, feature engineering, training, benchmarking, deployment, and monitoring
  • Leverage state-of-the-art Large Language Models (LLMs) to solve novel problems and create new product capabilities
  • Apply versatile ML techniques such as deep learning, gradient boosting, or causal inference to appropriate problems
  • Conduct rigorous experimentation, including A/B tests and other statistical methods, to quantify impact
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable ML solutions and turn models/insights into actionable strategy and user-facing features
