Requirements

Candidates must possess an MS or Ph.D. in mathematics, operations research, physics, computer science, industrial engineering, or a related field. They should have experience formulating and solving mixed integer linear and/or non-linear optimization problems, along with knowledge of statistics and data science. Proficiency in Python and/or R, including common data science libraries and SQL, is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience using analysis to solve complex problems and a Secret Clearance (or the ability to obtain one) are also mandatory.

Responsibilities

The Optimization Scientist will conduct cutting-edge analytics for defense and commercial applications in a collaborative environment. They will work closely with a diverse team of analytic and subject matter experts, have direct access to leadership for strategic direction, and dive deeply into business, product, and technical domains. The role involves leading at both strategic and day-to-day levels.
