Senior Machine Learning Scientist
QlooFull Time
Senior (5 to 8 years), Expert & Leadership (9+ years)
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, coupled with over 5 years of industry experience in developing perception and prediction modules for robotics or AV stacks. Proficiency in Python and C++ is essential, along with hands-on experience in machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch, and a proven ability to build ML pipelines and deploy models in production. Strong background in sensor fusion, particularly lidar and camera, and modern transformer-based model architectures, as well as experience with large-scale real-world dataset curation and management, are also required. Standout qualifications include a PhD in a relevant field, in-depth knowledge of simulation environments or real-time robotics testing, experience with foundational models (VLMs, VLAs), contributions to open-source projects, and extensive experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS) and containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
The Sr. ML Research Scientist will design and develop next-generation learning-based prediction and planning pipelines for a growing robot fleet. Responsibilities include researching, prototyping, and implementing state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms such as imitation learning and reinforcement learning for the autonomy stack, while staying current with the latest advances in prediction and end-to-end modeling. This role involves curating and maintaining diverse, real-world datasets to train and evaluate models, analyzing model performance to drive optimizations, and collaborating cross-functionally to define testing and validation processes for learning-based models to enhance robot behavior and intelligence.
Autonomous delivery robots for food and retail
Serve Robotics is changing the delivery industry with its self-driving robots that provide sustainable and efficient delivery solutions. Instead of using traditional vehicles, these lightweight, autonomous robots deliver small items like food and retail products, reducing carbon emissions and traffic congestion. The company operates on a delivery-as-a-service (DaaS) model, allowing businesses in the food and retail sectors to subscribe and pay based on their delivery needs. Serve Robotics aims to lead in the autonomous delivery market by offering eco-friendly solutions that enhance customer experience.
