Candidates should have at least 3 years of extensive account, new business, and/or relationship management experience in technical environments, managing large and complex accounts and engaging stakeholders at all levels. A strong understanding of web3/blockchain technology and hands-on experience with DeFi is required. Experience with decentralized applications (DApps) and smart contracts, along with pre-sales experience and strong business acumen for commercial negotiations, is also necessary. The ability to read code, hold technical conversations, and navigate large-scale software development projects is highly desirable. Preferred qualifications include hands-on development experience on web3/DeFi projects, experience dealing with DAOs, and knowledge of Solidity, Python, SQL, or other programming languages. The role requires the ability to travel 20% or more.
The Strategic Account Manager will nurture and enhance relationships with strategic partners in top DeFi protocols, understanding their requirements, facilitating product integration, and providing account management support. They will establish a comprehensive account management plan covering community engagement, DAO governance, delegate outreach, product integration, and roadmap alignment. Responsibilities also include undertaking new business development to acquire DeFi protocols, creating and overseeing team structures for account management plans, establishing good working relationships with key stakeholders, growing product usage of existing products, and leveraging user feedback to inform new feature and product development.
