Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Legal authorization to work in the US (no sponsorship for employment visas)
  • Preferred
  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline, Business, or Operations Management
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in a technical sales capacity
  • Working knowledge of Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things technologies (IOT / IIOT / Software / Annual Recurring Revenue-Subscription model type of experience including customer success organization)

Responsibilities

  • Create a vision of what is possible by understanding the market, trends, and customers, and connecting how Rockwell Automation helps them achieve goals
  • Become the expert on customers' industry (applications, standards/regulations, drivers & trends), organization, goals, and how offerings/partner capabilities help achieve them
  • Own the strategy for growing accounts and communicate plans to the extended team for support
  • Develop into a trusted advisor by understanding customers' processes, business drivers, and organization to offer application knowledge, industry expertise, and guidance on strategic initiatives
  • Influence decisions by qualifying opportunities, engaging resources, and coordinating solution design and presentation
  • Collaborate with Industry Managers, broader account team, senior management, and technical engagement team to plan and win opportunities
  • Maintain accurate assessments of targets and opportunities in the sales funnel using CRM tools and processes
  • Negotiate with Contracts and Negotiations colleagues to offer best contract terms and conditions (T&Cs), pricing, discounts, allowances, and secure mutually beneficial agreements
  • Support and manage customer/internal account reviews, and internal/external partner expectations
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to meet or exceed annual sales goals and grow market share in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (Food and Beverage) industry
