Requirements

Candidates must have 8+ years of program management experience, with at least 3 years focused on technical reliability or quality. A strong understanding of system architecture, distributed systems, and reliability engineering principles is required, along with familiarity with SDLC models, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, observability, and incident management tooling. Proven success in defining and improving SLOs, SLIs, and production readiness processes is essential, as is the ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional programs and translate complex technical goals into clear, actionable outcomes. Experience with Atlassian tools like Jira and Atlas for program tracking and reporting is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Staff Technical Program Manager will own and drive the vision for quality across proactive practices, reactive processes, and cultural expectations. They will lead cross-functional programs to improve system reliability, scalability, and operational quality, including incident response and production readiness. Key responsibilities include owning the Production Readiness Review (PRR) process, defining and tracking Service Level Objectives (SLOs), streamlining incident management and postmortems, and scaling tooling and automation for observability, alerting, testing, and response. The role also involves mitigating system risks, driving alignment across various teams for reliability prioritization, tracking progress using tools like Atlas and Jira, and embedding continuous learning from incidents and testing.
