Requirements
Candidates are required to possess 8+ years of relevant experience within professional services or support roles, along with hands-on implementation experience with API gateway and/or API integrations in customer environments. They should have infrastructure build experience with virtual machines or containers using Kubernetes, proficiency in Linux environments including Cloud and Development tooling, and knowledge of DevOps, Security fundamentals, and Networking fundamentals. Experience with major cloud providers such as GCP, AWS, and Azure is also required, as well as prior experience working in the Open Source space and/or API Management or other Middleware/SaaS software companies. Software development experience in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or Lua is preferred.
Responsibilities
As a Staff Solutions Architect, the individual will lead and guide customers throughout their technical journey with Kong, serving as a technical advisor to enterprise customers and consulting their teams through architecture, implementation, deployment, and rollout phases. They will interface and collaborate with various peers and partners, representing Kong culture and values, and working closely with Kong’s cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Customer Success, CRE, and others) to drive the successful delivery of customer-facing engagements. The role involves defining what ‘good’ looks like in terms of production deployments and contributing to the continued innovation and enhancement of Kong’s technology through thought leadership.
