They should have deep experience with cloud-native infrastructure such as AWS and Kubernetes, along with familiarity with CDK and platform tooling designed for resilient and observable systems. Proven success in leading large, cross-functional technical initiatives, demonstrating systems thinking and a business-aligned mindset is also required. Strong programming skills in at least one backend language (e.g., Go, Ruby, Python) and expertise with CI/CD systems, monitoring stacks, and infrastructure automation are necessary.
The Staff Software Engineer will set the technical north star by designing and evolving the infrastructure, architecture, and platform capabilities to enable safe, scalable, and high-velocity development across all teams. They will drive resilience and reliability by leading efforts to harden the platform against failures, introduce chaos testing, improve observability, and enable progressive delivery at scale. Furthermore, the role involves empowering engineering teams through the creation of internal tools, deployment workflows, and shared services, significantly improving developer productivity and reliability.
