Requirements

Candidates should have experience in cloud security engineering or related roles, with a focus on AWS. Expertise in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code best practices is required, along with strong knowledge of IAM policies, roles, and permission models in cloud environments. Experience with endpoint security tools and strategies is essential, as well as a proven track record of implementing security best practices in cloud environments. Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and/or HIPAA is also necessary. Strong scripting and automation skills in languages like Python, Bash, PowerShell, or TypeScript are needed.

Responsibilities

The Staff Cloud Security Engineer will design, implement, and manage secure cloud environments using AWS services. They will develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and controls for cloud resources, including IAM configurations. Regular security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability scans of cloud environments will be performed. Collaboration with development teams to integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines and application development is expected. The engineer will implement and manage endpoint security solutions, monitor cloud environments for threats, and stay up-to-date on emerging security technologies and regulatory requirements. Mentorship and guidance will be provided to Staff Engineers on cloud security practices.
