Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering roles
  • Program Go (Golang) for building distributed and concurrent systems
  • Keen understanding of Kubernetes internals (controllers, CRDs, Operators, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or OCI — including IAM, networking, and service deployment
  • Containerization, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
  • Administer problem-solving, debugging, and systems-level design skills

Responsibilities

  • Designing, building, and scaling Zoom’s multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Contribute to Zoom’s cloud governance, cost optimization, and security frameworks
  • Developing and maintaining Kubernetes Operators, custom controllers, and other platform automation in Go
  • Architecting high-availability and self-healing systems that support millions of real-time connections
  • Building internal infrastructure services (provisioning, configuration, observability, policy enforcement)
  • Partnering with DevOps, and Product Engineering teams to improve reliability, scalability, and developer experience
  • Champion infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and drive automation using tools like Terraform, Helm
