DevOps Engineer

Position Overview

• Location Type: Hybrid (San Jose, CA - 5 days/week in-office)
• Job Type: Full-time
• Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 annually (Base)

Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot, Figure 02, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer passionate about automation and continuous improvement, to accelerate the development of the first humanoid robot that will be manufactured and deployed at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement our Continuous Integration and Deployment pipeline (CI/CD)
• Architect, provision and scale our infrastructure both on-premise and in the cloud
• Develop Python tools to support data management, test automation, or robot calibration tools
• Collaborate with all the engineering teams to define continuous improvement plans

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or related field
• 7+ years of industry experience
• Mastery of configuration management (Git)
• Mastery of build tools (Bazel, CMake, make, etc…)
• Experience with any of the major cloud providers
• Comfortable working with a broad range of continuous integration tools (GitHub, Jenkins, TeamCity…) and deployment tools (Ansible…)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform…)
• Proficient with scripting languages including Python and Bash
• Mastery of Linux, Docker and microservices architecture
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiar with Agile and Test driven development principles

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiar with web development languages and tools (HTML, CSS, JavaScripts…)
