Requirements

Candidates must have 5-8 years of hands-on experience as a Data or Analytics Engineer in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Advanced SQL, dbt, and Python skills are essential, along with experience in Snowflake administration and optimization. Familiarity with ETL tools like Stitch and Fivetran, and modeling/orchestration frameworks like dbt Cloud and Airflow is required. Experience with GCP and Terraform is a plus. A proven track record of building and improving data systems is necessary.

Responsibilities

The Staff Data Engineer will own and evolve the semantic layer by designing, documenting, and optimizing dbt models. They will administer and improve the data stack, including Snowflake, dbt, Sigma, Stitch, and Fivetran, ensuring reliability and scalability. This role involves partnering with analytics and product teams to deliver trusted, AI-ready data, and leading improvements in efficiency and governance. Responsibilities include streamlining dbt runtimes, refactoring SQL, reducing Snowflake costs, implementing RBAC and documentation standards, and evaluating future orchestration and data infrastructure, including front-end data apps.
