Requirements

  • BSc degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in data engineering and 3 years in a tech leadership role
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills
  • Budgeting and resource management skills for data architecture initiatives
  • Proven ability to design efficiently complex data models and platform data layers
  • Strong technical skills in data architecture and engineering
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including understanding of how to build data pipelines and infrastructure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong business acumen - map business logic to data
  • Contribute and shape the company’s data strategy
  • Lead the strategic initiative of creating a master Data Model in Orfium
  • Work with the stream-aligned teams to optimize data structure design and improve data flow
  • Technical leader in revamping federated governance, shaping company-wide data policies
  • Ensure data solutions are built for performance, are scalable, and cost efficient
  • Contribute to the growth of Data Engineer and mentor engineers to optimize analytical workflows
  • Establish data platform best practices, including tool standardization
