Candidates should possess a Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Telecommunications, or an equivalent qualification, and a minimum of two years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Strong general knowledge of WAN is required, and CCNA Routing and Switching certifications are preferred, with CCNP being highly desirable. The role requires experience managing WAN networks and Cisco routers & switches, along with extensive hands-on experience in WAN/LAN networking, including knowledge of TCP/IP, SNMP, METRO-E, GIG-E, SINGLE/MULTI MODE FIBER CABLE TERMIINATION & MANAGEMENT, E1, DS3, and other relevant protocols and technologies.
The Staff Associate Work Center Tech Supt will proactively manage and monitor network performance 24/7 to meet customer Service Level expectations, investigating and diagnosing network issues and coordinating root cause analysis. They will also conduct proactive and reactive technical support, troubleshoot network platform issues, manage ISP’s and equipment vendors, articulate technical information to customers and staff, manage incoming calls and escalations, schedule testing tasks, facilitate communication among stakeholders, and update ticketing systems. Furthermore, the role involves maintaining system configurations to achieve performance and reliability levels, conducting root cause analysis on network faults, and ensuring adherence to AT&T policies and procedures.
