About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and data-driven Staff Analyst to join our team. This role is crucial for tracking and optimizing the performance of our pro sales team. You will leverage advanced analytics to drive strategic business decisions and to develop, monitor, and adjust compensation and commission plans. You will collaborate closely with sales executives, sales operations teams, and product managers to:
- Determine optimal staffing levels.
- Report on and analyze sales representative performance.
- Identify actions to optimize productivity and profitability.
As a key contributor, you will also support priority initiatives and the launch of new tools designed to enhance overall sales efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Reporting & Dashboards: Build and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor the performance of Angi’s sales organization.
- Forecasting & Staffing: Review business, staffing, and turnover trends, and develop forecasting models to determine optimal staffing and hiring levels across all Angi sales teams on a monthly basis.
- Sales Compensation:
- Design and implement sales commission plans that align with company goals, drive performance, and ensure market competitiveness.
- Support the end-to-end sales compensation process, including plan documentation, communication, calculations, and payout accuracy.
- Analyze sales performance data to evaluate commission plan effectiveness and recommend adjustments for optimization.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards for all sales compensation programs.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of sales team performance metrics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Profitability Modeling: Develop models to calculate the profitability of sales rep activities and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with sales, operations, product, and marketing partners to provide data-driven insights supporting process and spending enhancements.
- Sales Strategy Support: Build analytics plans to support A/B testing, evaluation, and launch of new sales strategies, tools, and processes (e.g., prospect scoring models, Salesforce features).
- Leadership Communication: Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, translating complex data into actionable insights to contribute to overall business strategy and growth.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify risks to sales team performance and propose mitigation strategies to leadership.
- Data Integrity: Ensure data integrity by collaborating with data engineering teams to maintain accurate, scalable data solutions.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior analysts and assist in refining analytics processes, models, and reporting tools.
- Industry & Tool Awareness: Stay current with trends in the home services industry, sales staffing functions, and emerging data tools to maintain platform competitiveness.
Who You Are
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of analytical experience in an e-commerce environment.
