SweedPos is a product-driven startup building an all-in-one cannabis retail platform. We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our remote team and contribute to scaling and optimizing our platform.

Team Structure

Our team comprises approximately 180 individuals. The globally distributed development team is organized into cross-functional product teams (8-12 members each), including front-end and back-end developers, QA specialists, and analysts. Each team is supported by a Team Lead and a Product Owner. Our CEO, account managers, and customer success team are based in the USA, collaborating closely with the development teams to align product development with business and user needs.

Responsibilities

  • Define business needs and understand the desired outcomes of solution development and implementation.
  • Analyze the current business state and align short-term issues with long-term goals.
  • Propose solutions, considering effort/effect balance, and transparently communicate the pros and cons of selected options.
  • Communicate effectively with English-speaking partners.
  • Evaluate solutions, estimate potential value for each option, and guide business counterparts through the decision-making process.
  • Describe solution requirements in detail using Confluence for documentation.
  • Assist the development team in understanding business needs, processes, and limitations.
  • Collaborate with the support team on feature adoption design.
  • Process comments and suggestions received based on operational results.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis or System Analysis.
  • Strong understanding of Business Analysis frameworks and methodologies for eliciting needs and gathering requirements.
  • Experience in system design and a basic understanding of architectural limitations.
  • Experience describing use cases, changes in user interfaces, logical data models, databases, and web services.
  • Experience with planning releases and sprints.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge in API design and integrations.
  • Experience in a Product/Project Manager role.
