Position Overview

Confluent is seeking a Sales Compensation Analyst to administer and support a world-class compensation process. This role is crucial for the Confluent Variable Sales Compensation team, which is responsible for building and managing the systems, processes, and tools that enable the sales team to achieve great results during hyper-growth. The analyst will work closely with a knowledgeable team, gaining exposure to various departments including Finance, FP&A, Sales Field, Go-To-Market, and Sales Operations leadership.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, process improvement, and efficient task completion, utilizing all available resources independently and from peers.


Responsibilities

  • Become the CaptivateIQ subject matter expert, leading project management and best practice design for FY26 CaptivateIQ Implementation.
  • Own configuration plan changes and serve as the primary contact between Confluent and CaptivateIQ support.
  • Write advanced requirements documentation for system configuration and perform comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Perform day-to-day administration of commission calculations and provide timely resolution of inquiries from compensation plan participants.
  • Support the financial accrual and payment process for monthly commissions under strict deadlines.
  • Analyze and recommend solutions for compensation-related issues, including costing, plan inquiries, validations, and monthly audits.
  • Develop and track metrics to assess the effectiveness of the sales incentive compensation program.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with partners in Sales Ops, Finance, HR, and other teams to ensure accuracy of data, inputs, and calculations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in sales compensation or systems administration, preferably within a rapidly growing B2B SaaS company.
  • Administrator-level experience with CaptivateIQ's incentive compensation software.
    • Xactly Incent experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • A positive work style, a focus on execution, and a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • High attention to detail.
