Requirements

Candidates should have over 7 years of backend development experience, with at least 2 years managing or leading infrastructure-focused teams. A passion for building inclusive, high-performing teams, excellent communication and decision-making skills, and experience designing and building data-intensive distributed systems in production are essential. Experience designing for scale and growth, particularly fault-tolerant and secure systems, along with strong experience running, monitoring, and debugging production systems at scale on AWS, are required. Experience from Healthcare or Government industries supporting large enterprises is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Tech Lead Manager will provide leadership for the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) squad responsible for the AWS-based cloud platform, including coaching and supporting engineers' career development. They will support the Commercial team in servicing Enterprise customers with data residency and compliance needs. Responsibilities include fostering engineering excellence, establishing key metrics, driving continuous operational improvements, and leading team initiatives by coordinating work and facilitating stakeholder discussions. The role also involves collaborating with other engineering leaders to promote best practices, clarify vision and goals, and build a positive work environment, as well as creating hiring plans and participating in recruitment.
