Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a Master's degree being preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience in infrastructure, reliability, or operations engineering roles is required, along with over 5 years of people leadership experience managing managers and global teams. Deep expertise in Linux operating systems, distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, private cloud), networking fundamentals, observability, monitoring, logging, alerting frameworks, automation (Python, Go, Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD), containers (Kubernetes, Docker), and microservices architectures is essential.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Manager, SRE will build, lead, and mentor a global team of SREs, defining the long-term vision and roadmap for SRE aligned with organizational objectives. They will partner with product and engineering teams to ensure reliability is embedded in design, development, and operations, owning the end-to-end reliability of critical customer-facing services. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets, driving root cause analysis for major incidents, and championing ITIL/OSS processes. The role involves expanding automation in deployment, monitoring, testing, and incident response, overseeing observability platforms, and ensuring robust configuration, capacity, and change management practices. Additionally, the manager will partner with various engineering teams on resilient architecture, support business continuity and disaster recovery, engage with vendors, and foster a culture of reliability through hiring, coaching, and developing engineers and managers.
