  • Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent for degrees earned outside the United States per 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A)) and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
  • Practical knowledge of project management (may have)

Responsibilities

  • Partners with management to develop job specifications/requirements, competencies, make salary recommendations and negotiate starting salary with candidates
  • Evaluates employment factors such as job experience, education and training, skills, knowledge and abilities, and other data pertinent to classification, selection, and referral
  • Sources candidates, manages workforce demands and develops networks to ensure constant flow of qualified candidates using various tools such as social media, career fairs, agencies and recruiting contractors
  • Phone screens and conducts interviews to recruit prospective employees
  • Manages applicant tracking system and creates reports and metrics analysis
  • May prepare applicant assessments, provide applicants with information on the company, oversees background checks and drug testing, check references and ensure successful hiring and on-boarding process
  • Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results
  • May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals
  • Coaches and reviews the work of lower level specialists; may manage projects/processes
  • May be responsible for entire projects or processes within job area; contributes to the completion of work group objectives through building relationships and consensus
  • Makes improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the job area; provides in-depth analysis and recommendations on process improvements
  • Communicates with senior internal and external customers and vendors; exchanges information to achieve objectives and influence decision-making
  • May provide guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area; may manage projects, requiring delegation of work and review of others' work product
