Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of experience in recruiting, with at least 2–3 years leading or managing a team
  • Proven track record scaling hiring in a fast-growing tech or startup environment
  • Strong business acumen — you can connect hiring priorities directly to company goals and org design
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Skilled at coaching recruiters and hiring managers; you know how to raise the bar while maintaining speed

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a scalable recruiting strategy aligned with business priorities and headcount plans
  • Partner with the VP of People and functional leaders to translate those priorities into actionable hiring roadmaps
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of recruiters to deliver consistently high-quality results with speed and precision
  • Define and track recruiting KPIs (time-to-fill, quality of hire, diversity metrics) and use data to drive continuous improvement
  • Design and implement scalable processes for intake, calibration, interview structure, and raising hiring standards
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, helping them define success profiles, build strong interview teams, and make great hiring decisions
  • Partner closely with Finance and People Ops to manage headcount, approvals, and reporting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Comms, and People Programs on employer brand and candidate experience initiatives
  • Build systems and tools that create visibility into pipeline health, recruiter load, and hiring velocity
  • Champion structured interviewing and calibration across the company to ensure fairness and consistency
  • Implement hiring manager enablement programs and training that increase efficiency and quality
  • Partner with external agencies or embedded recruiters when needed, setting clear SLAs and expectations
  • Embed recruiting as a strategic lever for building our high-performance culture — ensuring every hire raises the bar
  • Establish regular practices for post-hire feedback and continuous learning within the recruiting team
  • Model excellence in communication, urgency, and candidate experience
