Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with business leaders to develop and implement project plans, risk assessments, capacity growth, and contingency plans.
• Remediate security vulnerabilities for the systems.
• Support Windows and Linux Server Environments, including rack and stack hardware.
• Perform Active Directory maintenance and monitoring as needed.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools; monitor, and manage them.
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Document and automate processes.
• Perform administration and performance tuning of applications.
• Manage systems on the Cloud (AWS).
• Build and manage virtualization and containerization infrastructure.
• Provide training and mentor teammates and junior engineers.
• Evaluate new technologies and onboard them as needed.
• Be open to working off-hours, weekends, and holidays if behind delivery schedule, maintaining windows, or addressing emergency tickets.

Education / Experience:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 7+ years of System and Cloud Administrator experience.
• Experience leading and managing projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience administering Windows AD, LDAP, and Domain Servers.
• Experience with mixed operating systems: mainly Linux and some Windows.
• Experience with Configuration Management and automation tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Experience with Virtualization (VMWare) and Storage Systems (NetApp, Nimble, Pure, etc.).
• Project management experience.
• Experience in Hypervisors other than VMware (e.g., Proxmox, RHEL openshift).
• Knowledge of servers, storage, HCI, and FC switch configuration.
