Position Overview

  • Salary: $184,000 - $287,500 USD (base salary, determined by location, experience, and pay equity)

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced GPU and network systems Solutions Architect & Engineer to join our team. This role involves driving the deployment of end-to-end AI hardware and software technologies in customer data centers, providing recommendations on product roadmaps, and working with strategic technology customers.

Requirements

  • BS/MS/PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or other Engineering fields, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of Systems/Solution Engineering experience.
  • System-level expertise in CPU/GPU server architecture, NICs, Linux, system software, and kernel drivers.
  • Experience with networking switches (Ethernet/Infiniiband) and Data Center infrastructure (power/cooling).
  • Knowledge of DevOps/MLOps technologies (e.g., Docker/containers, Kubernetes).
  • Effective time management skills and ability to balance multiple tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly share ideas and code through documents and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers on large data center GPU server and networking system deployments as a Solution Architect Engineer.
  • Guide customer discussions on network design, compute/storage, and support server/network/cluster deployments.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor on advanced GPU & network systems.
  • Bring customer-specific requirements to product teams to influence product roadmap features.
  • Identify new project opportunities for NVIDIA products and technology solutions in data center and AI applications.
  • Collaborate closely with GPU/Network Systems Engineering, Product Management, and Sales teams.
  • Conduct regular technical customer meetings for product roadmaps, cluster issue debugging, feature discussions, and new technology introductions.
  • Build custom product demonstrations and Proofs of Concept (POCs).
  • Analyze and debug compute/network configuration and performance issues to deliver performant clusters.
  • Visit customer data centers during the bring-up phase (occasional travel, approx. 20%).

Ways to Stand Out

  • External customer-facing background.
  • Experience with bring-up and deployment of large clusters.
  • Systems engineering, coding, and debugging skills (C/C++, Linux kernel and drivers).
  • Hands-on experience with NVIDIA GPU systems/SDKs (e.g., CUDA), NVIDIA Networking technologies (e.g., NICs, RoCE, Infiniiband), and/or ARM CPU solutions.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technology concepts.
