Summary: As the Senior Product Manager for Marketplace Optimization, you will be responsible for the development, optimization, and launch of back-end systems, machine-learning, and data products. You will own our impression ranking system, which aims to balance revenue and relevancy when displaying (a combination of paid and unpaid) job impressions to job seekers on our platform. Your work will impact the experience of job seekers and employers (through which jobs or which candidates we match with them), as well as have a direct impact on company revenue.

Key Focuses

  • Lead the ideation of improvements to our job ranking technology and ad auction platform.
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with Executive, Product, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Biz Dev, and Sales teams to prioritize, launch, and operationalize new features.
  • Deeply understand our customer (employer) segments and needs, as well as our internal teams’ needs, to inform product decisions and strategy.
  • Be an internal advocate, educator, and communicator about the products you own.
  • Write specs, manage execution, and define product rollout strategy and communications.
  • Own your team's planning process and roadmap, proactively communicate learnings, advocate for new features, and write documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.

What We're Looking For

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable with both synchronous and asynchronous communication, and able to effectively write, speak, educate, and persuade across technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work with teams across multiple time zones.
  • Collaborative: Ability to work exceptionally well across engineering, product, analytics, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Knows What's Important: Ability to prioritize based on business needs and make smart tradeoffs.
  • Analytical: Strong proficiency with analytics platforms (e.g., DataBricks, Mixpanel, Google Analytics) and the ability to use data to make product decisions, set priorities, and measure success.
  • Leadership: Effective at leading a cross-functional team without direct authority.
  • Efficient: Experience building minimum viable products, measuring, learning, and iterating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands On: Willingness to engage in detailed work and problem-solving as needed.
  • Customer Centric: Focus on customer experience and business use cases, not just feature building.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Product Management experience.
  • Ability to write SQL queries and proficiency in using data for decision-making and impact assessment.
  • Extensive experience with A/B or multivariate testing.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Performance Marketing metrics (e.g., CTR, CVR, ROI, CPC, CPA, etc.).
  • Business-level understanding of technical concepts such as machine learning models, APIs, relational databases, and data formats (e.g., CSV, XML, JSON, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on AdTech/MarTech, AI/ML, Big Data, or two-sided marketplace products (e.g., dating apps, e-commerce marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, Etsy; real estate apps like Zillow, Redfin).
  • Experience as a product manager in a relevant field.
